Gallery Wall Size Guide

The best frame size is relative to wall width, furniture width, and viewing distance. Start with the total arrangement size, then choose frames.

Use a centered layout, keep average spacing consistent, and print before hanging.

Center at 58" 5 to 7 frames 2.5" gap
Small walls

A 36 to 48 inch wide wall usually needs three to five small frames.

  • 5x7 and 8x10 frames
  • tight 2 inch spacing
  • one simple row or cluster
Sofa walls

For a 72 to 96 inch sofa, aim for a gallery wall around 48 to 64 inches wide.

  • one 16x20 anchor
  • two 11x14s
  • two or three 8x10s
Large walls

Large walls need either oversized art or a bigger salon composition so frames do not look scattered.

  • include 20x24 frames
  • use 6 to 10 pieces
  • keep a strong outer boundary
