About Gallery Wall Planner

Why Gallery Wall Planner exists, how the independent tool is maintained, and where its measurement claims stop.

A practical, independent planning tool

Gallery Wall Planner is independently operated and maintained by Wayde Lyle as a free, retailer-neutral tool. It is not a framing shop, installation service, building-code authority, or marketplace.

The product is designed around a simple boundary: frame rectangles can be calculated from measured wall inputs; drill or hook points require measured hardware inputs. The interface keeps those outputs separate.

What the release prioritises

The current measurement release prioritises geometry correctness, visible fit warnings, local project handling, and install output that names its origin and uncertainty.

  • Canonical millimetre storage with inch and centimetre formatting
  • Bottom-left floor coordinates
  • Row- and column-aware gaps
  • Bounding-box coverage
  • Explicit sawtooth, loaded-wire, and D-ring models
  • Dedicated staircase and dimensioned template tools

How to hold us accountable

The methodology and changelog make important product behaviour inspectable. If a calculation, claim, accessibility issue, or privacy description looks wrong, use the corrections route. Reports are reviewed against a reproducible input case before copy or code is changed.
